The need for effective intervention for tinnitus is obvious. 25% (15 million) of the UK population have experienced tinnitus at some stage in their lives, and 6% of the UK population (3.6 million) suffer moderate to severe tinnitus. 8% consult their GP and 2 – 4% of individuals will proceed to a hospital visit.
Just looking at these figures its absolutely no wonder that there is such for these great herbal remedies and its critical that resources like these are available! |

25%? I new it was quite common, but not 1 in 4 - it surprises me none of the big drug companies have got in on the act |

| I guess the reason why big pharmaceutical companies are not joining the tinnitus cure bandwagon is because tinnitus is considered just a slight discomfort and goes away on its own. Only people who are experiencing intense problems seek help. To the experts out there, am I correct on this? |

| Quite honestly, if you look at the need of herbal remedies for most every aspect of treatment you will find that it is because of the lack of nutrients that the body gets on a daily basis. Vitamin shortages in the body come from the fact that people are just too busy to eat or are not eating properly (eating take out food, etc). |

| Living healthy should really be everyone's goal. But because everything now a days is instant, it makes harder for us consumers to choose what's right for our bodies. And it puts us right back to needing supplements for that. |

That is correct, therefore there is a big need for movement to help educate people on what they should eat and do to maintain a healthy body.
i think that the big companies who are not living with the condition or do not know anyone who is just will not care too much until they have a need to. |
