Ginkgo biloba has been used as a Chinese herbal remedy for thousands of years, and is readily available in healthfood stores.
It's effectiveness in treating Tinnitus is as yet unproven, as medical trials have proven inconclusive. But it's well worth reading up on as a possible solution.
Anyone tried it? |

Hi Miss Sarah
There is plenty of information regarding Ginko Bilboa but I have found the same that the results are for the most part unproven. This is however an interesting little piece I have found which bodes well
"One trial assessed 99 patients with chronic tinnitus. All were initially treated with three placebo tablets per day for two weeks, after which patients were randomised to ginkgo 120 mg daily or placebo for 12 weeks in a double blind manner. Loudness of tinnitus was significantly improved in patients treated with ginkgo than with placebo." |

Great - I guess that proves there must be some use to it, and it's not just a pointless remedy.
I think I am going to buy some for my Father, see how he gets on
Thanks |

Gingko Bilboa, along with all other natural and herbal supplements are not yet recognized by medical doctors to have medicinal value.
But then again, homeopathic and therapeutic practitioners does. And for the mere fact that a lot of people are attesting to their effectiveness, I guess these supplements are worth a try. |
