I am due to go on holiday this year and I'm I bit freaked out by the possible effects of the engine sounds on my Tinnitus, I have heard that the Boeing 777 is the best plane to fly on from a noise and pressure standpoint... anyone heard anything reagrding this?

I remembered somebody telling me to bring chewing gums or mints when riding an airplane. Ear problems is usually felt when the plane is landing. So, try to chew a gum or pop a mint minutes before landing. Doing so keeps your Eustachian tube open making it less prone to pressure changes.

There are a couple things you can do. I would say chew gum, especially on take off and landing, bring a pair of ear plugs in case there is a need for them as this might make it easier for as well.

Yeah I had heard the sucking a boiled sweet is good for the pressure

What about position coach at the back or Club at the front?

I would definitely not sit any where near the wings as this is where the engines are and you will most likely have a harder time with it at that point then you would anywhere else on the plane.

I would suggest buying or taking with you a cd/mp3 player with noise canceling headphones to listen to music during the flight.
